I have a small question about my car, and I hope other owners can tell me if I am worrying for nothing. I have a 2018 Ferrari GTC4Lusso and I use it for family trips and for driving to work a few times a week. For about a month now, the gearbox feels slow when I press the pedal to pass another car. It waits for a second, then the gear changes and the car jumps forward. In the morning, when the car is cold, it also feels a bit rough when I pull away from my parking spot. My wife says the car is just big and heavy, and I should not think too much about it. My friend has an older FF and he told me it could be old gearbox oil or a software update that the car needs. I did not know who to believe, so one night I read about it online. I opened a page about Ferrari cars on a Sharjah website to learn how the gearbox, the oil and the computer work together. It said that a slow reaction can be an early sign, and that a scan is the best first step before anyone opens the gearbox. That made me feel calmer. Then a coworker told me to look for a Top Ferrari transmission workshop in Al Qusais Industrial Area 5 and ask them to show me the fault codes on paper. He said a good place will explain the problem in easy words and will not rush me into a big repair. I liked that advice because I do not know much about these cars. So I have some questions. Is a slow reaction when passing usually the oil, or can it be a software problem? Is it safe to keep driving the car for family trips until it is checked? Should I ask the garage for a scan and an oil check before anything else? And about how long does a first check take, and what is a fair price? If you had the same thing on your GTC4Lusso or another Ferrari, please tell me what it was and about how much you paid. Thanks a lot.
